Inspirational Squares
Concept illustration
Introduction
This project was for an assignment titled "Inspirational squares". I had to choose 3 words which represent my personality.
I chose the words “ Passionate”, “Entrepreneurial”, and “Adventurous”. After I understood the purpose of the project, I immediately thought of an idea or two.
I wanted to draw concept illustrations. After I finished brainstorming, I researched the suitable images online, and I chose the “ Greek Mythology” and "Fairy tales" as my main metaphors, and “steampunk” as the main design style. I chose the main images first, and each of the words which are one of the human organ, Pirates ship, and Athena's head, and I chose second and third concept images to combine.
“Entrepreneurial”
I wanted to make an image that best shows the word “Entrepreneurial”. It was really hard to make images. I wanted to use an allegory or a figure from the Greek mythology.
I chose “ Greek Mythology” as a metaphor, and the steampunk design style and separation typographic for making the “Entrepreneurial” concept illustration. Also, I chose images of animals that have distinct symbolism around them such as owl, lion, snake - each representing wisdom, leadership, and cunningness.

“Passionate”
I wanted to show my passion for design.The illustration is of two hands with interlocked fingers resembling a heart.
I combined images and inversion typography for making “Passionate” illustration.
The main design combined the steampunk, heart, design tools, and hands.

“Adventurous”
I like to learn new skills and design trend, so I think that I am an adventurous designer. I chose the fragmentation typography and the story of “ Peter Pan” as a metaphor, so I combined images the Hooke’s Ship, design tools, and steampunk bird. Both the pirate ship and the birds flying over the ship represent freedom, fearless, and valorous.
